This year it went on a diet and weighs in at 1,300 LBS, with the driver and the fuel. The base engine is a 383 alcohol injected small block sporting an 871 supercharger. This is hooked to a new Coan transmission and converter. The dragster is 218" long (18 feet 2 inches) and produces 1137 HP. For those that worry about mileage, it uses 1 and 1/2 gallons of alcohol to run the 1/8 mile. |

Tom took the dragster up to Northern Michigan Dragway for a little break in run. Not really expecting to do more than a tune in run for the new engine. Just one or two runs to break it in and get the bugs out. On his firs trip down the track, he set a new track record for the 1/8th mile. 4.844 seconds at 141.3 MPH. On his second run he broke the record he had just set! 4.825 seconds 142.3 MPH. Congratulations Tom, great runs! | ||

Pig Roast at
JJ's Pub in Muskegon! Headhunter racing and JJ's pub teamed up to have a great pig roast. Tom (Headhunter Racing) cooked the pig and JJ's pub furnished the place and the drinks. A good time was had by all and no-one went away hungry. Some pictures are below. |

September 4, 2005 |
1/8th mile drag race at Stanton Michigan! We left before 7:00am and headed for Mid-Michigan Motorplex at Stanton Michigan. After a stop for breakfast we arrived to a large crowd of racing enthusiasts ready to race! Both the car and the driver performed to the uttermost. The stats for the three runs are as follows; |
